What you will learn:

  • Define the Window of Tolerance and identify 3 ways it relates to clinical practice.

  • Identify at least 3 symptoms each of hyperarousal, hypoarousal, and optimal arousal.

  • Identify 3 ways identity factors shape nervous system responses and movement between arousal states.

  • Use a symptom-mapping worksheet to assess nervous system states and categorize at least 3 coping skills appropriate to hyperarousal, hypoarousal, and optimal arousal.

Who is this is for: LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, LEPs, & other mental health professionals. Appropriate for beginner to intermediate clinicians.

Instructor: Monica McNeeley, LCSW, is a licensed clinician with extensive experience providing supervision, EMDR consultation, and facilitation in EMDR Basic Trainings and advanced EMDR programs. She integrates attachment-focused and trauma-informed approaches in her clinical work and consultation, supporting therapists in developing effective assessment and stabilization skills within the Window of Tolerance framework. Her background equips her to teach clinicians how to understand arousal states, strengthen regulation interventions, and improve treatment engagement and symptom reduction.
