Rooted in Connection is a retreat designed for therapists to step away from the demands of clinical work and slowing down to connect with themselves, spend time in nature, and build meaningful connections with other clinicians, with room for both reflection, moments of laughter, playfulness, and shared experience.
Set in the quiet desert landscape near Joshua Tree, this retreat offers space for reflection, restoration, and experiential learning at an intermediate to advanced level, alongside genuine professional connection within a supportive and engaging community of therapists.
The retreat is built around three core elements of Connection:
Connection with Self: through reflection, rest, creativity, and movement
Connection with Community: through shared learning, and real moments of connection
Connection with Nature: through time in the desert landscape, experiential practices
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Because this retreat has limited capacity and requires advance financial commitments for the venue, lodging, and programming, the following terms apply to all registrations.
Non-Refundable Reservation. Registration secures one of a limited number of retreat spaces. For that reason, all payments are non-refundable, except where this form expressly provides otherwise. Participants are encouraged to obtain travel or event insurance to help protect against unexpected cancellations, illness, emergencies, travel disruptions, or other circumstances that may interfere with attendance.
No-Show Policy. If a participant does not attend the retreat and does not provide advance notice of cancellation, the participant will be treated as a no-show, and all amounts paid for the retreat registration will be forfeited.
Retreat Cancellation by Organizers. If the organizers cancel the retreat for any reason other than a Force Majeure event, participants will receive a full refund of the retreat registration fee. That refund will be the participant’s sole and exclusive remedy. The organizers are not responsible for reimbursing airfare, travel, lodging outside the retreat, or any other personal expenses.
Force Majeure. The organizers are not responsible for any cancellation, delay, interruption, relocation, or other change caused by events beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, wildfire, smoke conditions, evacuation orders, severe weather, road closures, government orders, public health emergencies, utility outages, or other similar events. In those circumstances, the organizers may, in their discretion, reschedule the retreat or offer a credit, partial refund, or full refund. The organizers are not responsible for reimbursing airfare, travel, lodging outside the retreat, or any other personal expenses arising from a Force Majeure event.
